Mauricio Artiñano
Este año tenemos el honor de recibir a Mauricio Artiñano como nuestro invitado especial. Mauricio es graduado de la generación 2001 de Lincoln School. Él estudió Relaciones Internacionales en la Universidad de Tufts y luego hizo su Maestría en Políticas Públicas en la Universidad de Princeton. Siempre fue reconocido como un alumno de excelencia que destacaba en debates de Modelo de las Naciones Unidas, por lo tanto él conoció personalmente a la Ms. Jeanie Ayub, a quien dedicamos esta conferencia. Estos debates lo unieron mucho a ella ya que compartieron mucho tiempo trabajando en este tipo de conferencias. Actualmente, es parte de las Naciones Unidas. A sus 24 años cumplió su sueño cuando formó parte del equipo de diplomáticos que representaron a Costa Rica durante su período como miembro electo del Consejo de Seguridad de las Naciones Unidas el 2008 y 2009. En años recientes ha servido a las Naciones Unidas en las misiones de paz de la ONU en Sudán del Sur, Somalia y Colombia. Él, en otro nuevo año de Lincoln MUN, quiere brindar homenaje a la persona que lo inspiró por tantos años y a la vez, inspirar otros...a todos ustedes que asistirán a esta especial conferencia. This year we have the honor of receiving Mauricio Artiñano as our special guest. Mauricio is a graduate of the 2001 generation of Lincoln School. He studied International Relations at Tufts University and then did his Masters in Public Policy at Princeton University. He was always recognized as a student of excellence who excelled in debates of Model United Nations, hence developing a great connection with Mrs. Jeanie Ayub, who we are dedicating this conference to, in honor of her impact in the MUN community in Costa Rica. These debates brought them together because they shared a lot of time working in this kind of conferences. Currently, he is part of the United Nations Organization. At the age of 24, his dream was fulfilled when he became a part of the team of diplomats who represented Costa Rica during his term as an elected member of the United Nations Security Council in 2008 and 2009. In recent years he has served the United Nations in the UN peace missions in South Sudan, Somalia and Colombia. He, in this new year of Lincoln MUN, wants to pay homage to the person who inspired him for so many years and, at the same time, inspire others ... all of you who are attending this special conference.
