Hi delegates! My name is Sara Rodríguez and I am the Charity Director of this year’s LMUN. I’m currently a senior at Lincoln and helping the community has always been one of my greatest passions. Our charity team will be collecting funds through sales and activities in order to help one of Costa Rica’s organizations. This year’s funds will go to a bee organization called Apicultores de Costa Ricaa in memory of our dear and loving friend Salvatore Traversone. Let’s make the best out of this LMUN to honor him. What is Apicultores de Costa Rica?

​

Apicultores de Costa Rica is an organization that is aware of the serious phenomenon of decline and death that is affecting pollinators and how their massive death would be a devastating problem for the planet and human beings. The organization has proposed to develop actions to promote their scientific, educational, cultural and inspirational interest in the short and long term. They also aim to form a new generation of ecological beekeepers, endowed with great environmental sensitivity.
